Andrea Mcclure (down 29 lbs)

Internally I am such a happier person. I can’t believe the difference in how I feel emotionally after this process. Before the challenge I dreaded turning 40, now I can confidently say “I am 40” and feel good about where I am physically and health wise. To accomplish this goal at 40 means so much to me. I never thought I would feel so proud of myself for being “fit at 40”.

Externally, I can’t believe how much I have changed in such a short period of time. Everything about my appearance is different, my face has even changed. In 12 short weeks, I went from an unhealthy, frumpy person to a fit person. The biggest impact I think was my stomach, I lost 7 inches from my waist! I was shocked that I even lost inches from my neck. Honestly, I didn’t think that there would be such a big difference in my neck measurements. I now wish I would have taken measurements of my arms and legs too, I’m curious how many inches I have lost from those areas. (now I have to buy a new wardrobe!)

I plan to spread the gift of health by doing more physical activities with friends. Instead of always getting together for food / drinks, I call friends to go for runs. I also sign up for runs with friends so we can train together. Now running or working out is a fun activity I can do with friends.

Running is now a family activity, my husband and I will go run and bring our 7 year old daughter with us. She rides her bike next to us on the trails while we run. I’ve even noticed that she is in a better mood after our training sessions and she will even tell us how much fun she had biking.
