05 May Pills Vs. Powders
In an era where digestive diseases are plaguing 60-70 million people in the United States, there is no doubt that there is an issue with the way we eat in America. These inflammatory issues contained within our digestive health are alarming and you should be more cognizant of the delivery system you are choosing when purchasing nutritional supplement products to ensure you are absorbing them efficiently.
The nutrition supplement business has several different delivery systems to allow absorption of products; everything from tablets, caplets, softgels, capsules, chewables, liquids and even powders, not to mention several other forms not outlined above. With all of the different options available, it can make your head spin on what is best for your body and wallet!
Now let’s be honest, our body is a pretty complicated, yet a miraculous machine when it comes to our physiological processes. With that said, the body does a great job of breaking down ingredients and metabolizing them. However, there are several different ways that we can ensure that we are absorbing more of what we are place into our body.
At Nutrishop Omaha, we are always concerned about our clients getting as much out of their supplements as their body will allow. One way we do this is by:
1. Ensuring you are creating a healthy internal environment in your digestive track.
2. To ensure you are picking the delivery method that will drive greater absorption, which means GREATER RESULTS.
We are big fans of powdered supplements as they directly absorb with minimal effort allowing for more of the active ingredients to be utilized in a manner to create the desired results you are seeking.
Think about it, if I take a powder, softgel, or even capsule, our body will break that down in a pretty expeditious fashion allowing for it to absorb correctly and quickly. However, if I take more hard compress tablets that contain the amount of powder that should be in 5 capsules that is pressed into one tablet, our body isn’t going to get all of the ingredients absorbed within it as the digestive process will take over and push the unprocessed portion out of the gut because it will consider it waste.
Thus, if you want greater results; eat healthy, exercise, drink lots of water, get lots of sleep and more importantly, take quality supplements that your body will metabolize!
